Hull form is the same as the normal Flaar 26. And we already listed all similarities. The boat is built using the most high-tech technologies using carbon prepreg sandwich structure with Nomex honeycomb core. This way the weight can be kept as low as possible, the areal weight reduction is ca. 40% in comparison to Flaar 26!
Features
100% carbon/epoxy structure
Backstay high gear-ratio – tensioning can be done by hand or by winching
More than 50% keel ratio
Canting keel
The boat is equipped with a tilting keel, it can be canted +/-50°, and therefore the boat may be used with bigger sail area in strong wind.
DSS (Dynamic Stability System)
DSS is a foil that can be extended from the side of the boat. It creates extra righting moment, so in strong wind the boat “flies” on DSS foil.
Single handed sailing
A FLAAR 26RR was designed especially for single handed sailing. The cradle-shaped front deck allows easy sail changes and the back deck hardware ensures simple handling.
